How JustLodged handles property addresses and subscriber details.

Our lists are made from building and planning applications that state and local governments publish as open data. Each row has a street address, the kind of work, the lodgement date, the application reference and, for some NSW jobs, a cost band. We treat an address together with the work being done as personal information about the people who live there.
We never collect or publish owner or applicant names, phone numbers or email addresses, and we never match addresses to other records to find out who lives there. Builder names are kept only when the builder is a company.
We sort the applications by trade and send them to paying subscribers, who are trade businesses. Subscribers agree to contact owners by letterbox only, to respect No junk mail signs, and to tell us when an owner asks to be left alone.
Any owner or occupier can ask us to remove an address at remove my address or by email. We remove it from every future list, usually within two business days and always within 30 days, and we ask subscribers to stop sending flyers to it. If you ask, we will tell you which public register your address came from.
Your name, business name, email address, your area and packs, and your payment history. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers. Emails are delivered by our email provider. We keep subscriber records for as long as you subscribe and for seven years after for tax records.
Subscriber and removal records are kept in access controlled systems. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
