Has the job been approved, or just applied for?

Applied for. Your list is the applications lodged last week: development applications, complying development certificates and construction certificates. Some are refused and some never go ahead. A construction certificate is the last step before work starts, so those are the closest to a start date.

Is this like hipages?

No. On a quote site the homeowner has asked for quotes and you pay for the lead. Here nobody has asked anyone yet. You get every application in your area for one flat monthly price, and the first move is your flyer.

I fence, landscape or service pools. Which pack do I want?

Pool fencers and pool services usually want Pools and spas on its own. Landscapers, shade sails and balustrade installers usually want pools, patios and new homes, which is every pack.

How old are the jobs when I get them?

Your Monday list covers applications lodged Monday to Sunday the week before. NSW and Logan update daily.

Can I see who the builder is?

In NSW, when the builder is a company, the construction certificate names them, and so does your list. Owner builders and individuals are never named.

Isn't this free on the Planning Portal?

You can search it one council at a time. We read every council in your area, merge the duplicates, sort every job by trade and send it with map pins, every Monday.

Use it the right way

Letterbox, don't knock

These are property addresses from public registers. We never add names, phone numbers or email addresses, and we don't look owners up. Every list carries the rules for the states in it:

NSW. Put your flyer inside the letterbox or under the door only. Never on a fence, gate or car: that is an offence in NSW (Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997, s 146A and 146B). Respect every "No junk mail" sign.
QLD. In Queensland it is against the law to put advertising in a letterbox marked "No junk mail" or "No advertising material" (Waste Reduction and Recycling Act 2011, s 107). Put your flyer inside the letterbox, never on a fence, gate or car.
ACT. Put your flyer fully inside the letterbox (Litter Act 2004, s 8). Nothing on cars or taped to fences or poles. Respect every "No junk mail" sign.

What tradies ask before they sign up
